Trees

Trees have been creeping into my Atmosphere paintings. They are also creeping me out. I know where they came from. We went up the Mendocino Coast a few weeks ago and saw Trees Everywhere, even down to the sea. It's not completely unreasonable, as I named my workbook for this year "Light in the Forest." Still, part of me wants to go back to Point Reyes really soon to get the trees out of my eyes and get back to the Atmosphere paintings I am most comfortable with. But is comfort what I really need?
